dentist in the county. He teels that it will be enough to start with one day. “Other dentists attempted to set up here but there doesn’t seem to be quite enough need for five days a week, he noted. This is one reason Dr. Mayberry feels that previous dentists were not successful. There is a definite need but that definite need is limited as well, he said.
Dr. Mayberry's other reasons for deciding upon Washington include the size of the community. He feels that a small community, such as this, is an asset because he will come to know people and be known by others.
He is fond of the town and has considered moving to Washington, describing it as a “quaint town."
The Washington area is also conducive to his favorite hobby, fishing. The dentist said that he "likes fishing, lots of fishing.”
He also apparently likes children as he and his wife Elaine have three. The oldest child. Jamie, six, is in the first grade. The other two are pre-schoolers: Jennie, three, and Jeffrie l'/i.

Dr. Mayberry said that he i is really looking forward to opening his practice next month and to getting to know the people of Rappahannock.
