Infant Baptism
Matthew Straffin Weems, son of the Rev. and Mrs. Peter Weems of Flint Hill was baptized at the Willis Chapel United Methodist Church. Huntly on Sunday, May 16, 1982. by the Rev. Roger C. Balcom.
Named as godmother was Beth Fanjul and godfathers were Dean Stirling and Andrew Weems.
Dean Hahn was liturgist and Jim Bayne and his family presented special music for the service. Mr. Bayne is a deacon in the Roman Catholic Church and director of "Bethany House" retreat center. He is currently using space made available by the Christian Life Center in Syria.
Rev. Balcom is pastor of Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church in Chantilly.
