The wedding of Elizabeth Martha Henze, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul B. Henze of Bethesda, Md. and Rock Mills, to Roger Beach Pierson Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Tyler of Alexandria, took place at 1 o’clock on Saturday, May 15, 1982. at the Mt. Salem Baptist Church in Washington.
The Rev. Stephen Smith performed the double ring ceremony. The church was decorated with large bouquets of dogw ood, apricot carnations and a blue iris on each window sill and Banking the altar.
Music was selctions by Pachebal played on the church’s old pump organ.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an Ecru lace gown trimmed with satin ribbon; sweetheart neckline edged in seed pearls and an elbow length veil:
Her flowers were a cascade of white carnations, apricot roses and baby's breath.
