Delegate D. French Slaughter, delegate from Madison, Culpeper and Orange counties in the Virginia House of Delegates, declared his support of the re-election of President Richard M. Nixon in the upcoming Presidential election. French was quoted as saying “I expect to support President Nixon for re-election because I believe he is better qualified than any of his likely opponents.”
