seniors who supported the ! recent visit of the Lions Sight
and Hearing Screening Unit ' to our county, i We tested 226 young : people at the elementary 1 School, 62 at the high school, 1 and 77 at Wakefield. 1 Seventeen adults visited the 1 van at Trinity Episcopal
Church in Washington. 5 Of those tested, 105 were 1 found to require further eye i examination, and 14 more
needed advanced hearing 1 testing. Referrals are being e sent to the students through 1 school authorities. v Since early detection can
avoid later difficulties, we I feel that our efforts will be i beneficial but only if all s parents will follow up and II take whatever corrective f action is recommcndwi by
medical authorities.
