“Your partner can’t have a shop there either or it must be rezoned,” warned board member Peter Kramer.
Robinson’s lawyer Ben Jones assured the board, “I have counseled him that he does not play games with the zoning ordinance.”
Kramer replied that he just wanted to be sure “this is not some great maneuver in a home business scheme.” He then moved for approval of the variance. The board voted unanimously to grant it.
Co-Op Remodeling
The board also approved a special use permit for Witold and Dorothy Kuncewicz to remodel a warehouse behind the old co-op building in Sperryville to use for cold storage of fruits and vegetables. The area is zoned industrial.
Kuncewicz told the board the necessary parking and loading space exists now and that he plans to have 6-15 employees working there. He will add insulation to the building and install cooling equipment.
Kuncewicz assured the board there would be no waste products, noise, odor, smoke, dust or other pollutants listed in the zoning ordinance.
With a motion from George Muth the permit was approved unanimously.
