Mr. and Mrs. Jack Brown returned home last week after hosting a tour group to England, France, Switzerland, Germany and the Netherlands. They also spent several days with their son, Steve in Clappenburg, West Germany who is employed by Pioneer Seed Company as a plant breeder in charge of the research station. The Browns will be hosting a tour to New Zealand and Australia in February.

Mr. and Mrs. George W. Hawkins spent Friday and Saturday in Tappahannock.

Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Sanford of Orange hosted a birthday dinner for Mrs. Mary Quaintance Saturday evening at the Gourmet in Orange. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Henry Gilbert of Orange, Mrs. D. Lyle Miller, Jr., Mrs. T. M. Johnston and Mrs. Brown Miller.

Mr. and Mrs. Donnie Leake of Culpeper were Sunday guests of Mrs. Lille Corbin and Mrs. Tom Leake.

Mr. and Mrs. Julian Brown, Paul and Jason, Mr. and Mrs. Carlton Atkins, Mrs. Catherine Brown and Clyde Atkins attended the 40th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Gayland Atkins at the Edith Rebekah Hall in Luray last Sunday
