Miss Nancy Leigh Davis and Richard Tedder Palmer were married at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glen Cove, New York on Saturday, September 10, by the Rev. Edwin Marohn. He was assisted by the Rev. W. Cameron Allan.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Matthew Davis of Glen Cove, N.Y. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Croswell Palmer of Bethesda, Md. and Washington, Va.
The bride wore a dress of candlelight ivory organza trimmed with handbeaded pearls and re-embroidered alencon lace. It featured a chapel length train. She carried a bouquet of ivy, pink roses and baby’s breath.
Wendy Davis Kelley of Blacksburg was her sister’s matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Jane Elizabeth Runge of New York City and Monica Frances Toman of Washington. They were gowned alike in riviera blue and carried ivy, miniature pink carnations and whie snowflake chrysanthemums.
The groom’s brother, John Edward Palmer of Silver Spring, Md. was best man.
