Carol and Homer Henry were at home enjoying their tennis courts last weekend. Over Labor Day they went to West Virginia to see Carol’s parents.
And Judy Hitt says the most fun she and Mitch had lately was the estate auction in Boston Saturday morning. They bought a tin woodstove and a recliner and some canned goods on purpose, but were real careful not to buy anything by mistake.
You know how it is at those auctions. Aunt Michele almost got a prize pig at the Farm Show cause she used a few too many gestures while talking with the Culpeper extension agent.
We heard that Mr. and Mrs. Ben Mallory have bought a house at Chester Gap and will be leaving Castleton for those north hills. They’ll be leaving some of their grown children at the old homestead, though, so we'll still see the family around these parts.
