Back To School Boogie II

It’s a dance at the high school gym Friday, September^, 7;20-ll p.m.

Sponsored by the Booster (’lub as a fundraiser for computer equipment, the dance will include rock and roll, soul and Top 40 music on pre-recorded cassettes. Students in grades 8-10 may bring a guest from another grade level but they must be signed up in the office the day before the dance.

Admission is .$2 per person. Baked goods and so das will be sold.

Fire And Rescue

Rappahannock’s Fire arid Rescue Association will meet Friday, September 10, at 7:20 p.m. at the Washington Fire Hall.

Focus On Farming

Topic of the second lecture in the Voices of Rappahannock series will be “The Transformation of Agriculture,” presented at Washington’s (jay Street Theater on Friday, September 2d, at 7:20 p.m.

The public is invited.

School Reunion Planned

The Rappahannock County High School class of 1978 will have their five year reunion on October 2, 1982, from 12 to 5 p.m. at the Lakeside Swim Club in Culjreper. . \

Arts And Crafts

Winchester’s largest annual autumn event, the Apple Harvest Arts and Crafts Festival, will be held this weekend, September 17 and 18.

Over 150 artists and craftspeople will exhibit in the two-day program. The Virginia State Apple Butter Making Championship will be held Saturday. Carrying out the theme of the weekend, there will be numerous apple displays and a free apple for every visitor.
