The Rappahannock Junior Varsity Panthers lost a tough defensive battle on Thursday, September 4, to Page County, 17-29.
Although Rapp’s Rozalind Cooke scored the first basket of the game, sloppy passing and tough defense by Page put the Rappahannock Panthers down at half, 6-11. Rappahannock played well on the defense end of the court but just couldn’t force the turnovers that Page did. To add to Rapp’s demise Page shot nine out of 19 from the free throw line to Rappahannock’s poor one out of six from the charity strip.
