Entertainment is provided pt an outdoor amphitheater in the form of folk dancing, singing, and Appalachian folk music. Be sure to wear com- 1 fortable shoes and clothing. Children under 6 attend free of charge. Children between the age of 6 and 15 are charged $1.00 entry fee, and adults $3.00. Workshop
Home Furnishing Workshops on Punched Hole and Pierced Lampshades will be held May 29 and 30 from 10:00 to 2:00 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Washington Baptist Church. Participation is limited to 10 per session. Call the Extension Office at 675-3619 to register.
Participants will need to bring a couple of old yet clean towels (oil will transfer to paper) to put the lampshade paper on to cut and pierce, spring clothespins to hold it together while the glue dries and lampshade rings to cover. If you remove an old shade from the rings to use, be careful and bring it as a pattern for the new shade. Registration will be on a first come, first serve basis.
