This letter is in response to Nels A. Parson’s questions on declassification of Rush River.
Dear Colonel Parson:
In 1975-78, the Commission’s Fish Division surveyed and classified the state’s cold water streams. The Rush River, from its headwater to a point about one mile upstream from Big Devil Stairs, was classified Class IV Wild Trout. However, an older Water Board Natural Trout Water Classification remained in effect.
