James Quaintance Retired Postal Employee James Preston Quaintance, 73, of Culpeper, died Tuesday, May 15,1984, at his residence. Mr. Quaintance was retired from the United States Post Office and was the son of the late Harry R. and Jessie Coates Quaintance, formerly of Rappahannock. His wife was the late Louise Goodman Quaintance. Survivors include one brother, Robert Lee Quaintance of Middletown, Delaware. Interment was in the Fairview Cemetery. Clore Funeral Home in Culpeper was in charge of arrangements.
Bernard Jenkins Culpeper Native Bernard R. Jenkins, 65, of Culpeper, died Sunday, May 20,1984, at his residence. A native and lifetime resident of Culpeper County, he was the son of Frederick G. and Virgie Weakley Jenkins of Rappahannock County. He was the owner of Jenkins Junk Yard. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Olive West Jenkins of Culpeper; four sons, Bernard Randolph Jenkins, Jr., Bryant Ronald Jenkins, Bradley Ray Jenkins and Barry Robert Jenkins, all of Culpeper; two daughters, Mrs. Brenda J. Aylor of Madison and i Mrs. Betty J. Burrows pf Fairmont, West Virginia and eight grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Gladys J. Jacobs and Ms. Collen Jenkins, both of Culpeper and two brothers, James F. Jenkins of Culpeper and O.M. Jenkins of Springfield. Graveside services were conducted on Wednesday at Fairview Cemetery by the Rev. Jerry Hughes and Rev. Kenneth Huneycutt. Memorial contributions may be made to the Culpeper Rescue Squad. Gore Funeral Home in Culpeper was in charge of the arrangements.
