rains came — and stayed — through the weekend, — until it was Monday and time to go back to work, and the skies cleared. And you said, “why me?”
If you’ve ever felt that mother nature “owed you one,” how about this past weekend? Saturday morning at 6:50, the temperature shook loose from a 48 degree reading and in little over an hour soared to 64. With lots of sunshine and gentle breezes, it made its way to 85 degrees, our highest daytime temperature since last Sept. 19 when it was 87. Sunday followed suit with ” another beautiful day and a .high temperature of 83, with an overnight low of just 60. This May has brought us 2.22 inches of rain compared to 3.20 inches for the same period of time (through May 20) last year.
Just remember — if you feel mother nature owed you one, she dropped it in your lap this past weekend.
