“No Exit”
In lieu of a program, “No Exit” director Dan Kolak spoke to the audience before the play about the interpretation he had chosen. One of the only props on stage being a paper-cutter, he picked it up and used it as an example of Sartre’s form of existentialism—a paper-cutter, unlike man, was created to fulfill a specific function, but man was created and now must find or define his own function.
