Recipe Contest
The first “Milk - The Official Beverage of Virginia Recipe Contest” is now open for entries.
To celebrate June Dairy Month, the contest is being sponsored by the Virginia State Dairymen’s Association and coordinated by the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
Recipes should be a main dish or entree. They should contain at least one cup* of ode of the following dairy products: fluid milk (whole, low-fat or non-fat), buttermilk, cream (heavy, table, or )ialf and half), sour cream, yogurt, cottage cheese, cream cheese (*eight ourices), butter, cheese ("'four ounces). Higher poiiits will be given to recipes which exceed the minimum dairy product requirement.
