Will your child be one of more than 200 to participate in a summer day-camp program at the 4-H Center in Harmony Hollow? Registration begins June 1, and daycamp organizers are anxious to enroll as soon as possible the youth of Rappahannock and several surrounding counties.

The day camp was begun last year by Pauli Delevitt of Flint Hill. A local artist and mother of two, Pauli was looking to give area children a place of recreation and learning. This year, the day camp promises more.

The day camp recently was awarded a grant of (4,500 from the Virginia Commission on Arts to boost its educational programs. Due to this and other local support from citizens, educators and church leaders, the day-camp agenda tentatively includes classes in painting, scupture, drama, dance, music, crafts, nature, canoe, unicycling, sports and swimming.

The day camp is open to a'l youth ages 6-14. The Mates for the camps are June 18-22; June 25-29; July 30August 3; August 6-10. A youngster can attend a oneweek session, or as many sessions as he or she wishes.
