It should be noted that the original application to this authority dated June 6, 1963, was for a 120-bed health care facility for mentally disabled persons. This supplemental application is for elderly adult persons in need of care and supervision. In either case, Harris Hollow hardly seems like a fit place to place such persons with its inherent isolation and severe mountain ways. If there is a need for such a facility, it should be located near a city or large town, not out in the wild and wooly west of Washington.
