Concert
Three imaginative pieces of musical theatre were presented by grades 1-6 in Wakefield’s Spring Concert. “Hamlin Town,” the story of the Pied Piper, was performed by the first and second grades with vocal accompaniment by a chorus of the third, fourth and fifth grades. It was highlighted by the energetic invasion of the town by the famous rats and their procession out led by the magical piper. The third grade offering accompanied by a chorus of the first and second grades, was Rudyard Kipling’s “The Elephant’s Child,” and included an equally original procession: a string of elephants having their noses
