“lengthened” to propel trunk proportions by an accommodating crocodile. Alsc noteworthy was the well-executed animal-like movements that made the hippos, snake and Kolokolo bird come to life.

The sixth grade production of “the Elements” was a vast undertaking requiring many characters, detailed costuming and several sets, as well as complex choral preparation for . the accompanying third through fifth graders. The story of a mad scientist trying to control the elements with computers, and how he is foiled by a necromancer and four children, was full of exciting special effects, including a battle with Grendel, Beowulfs legendary dragon, and a near drowning of one of the children in a stormy sea created from blue and white crepe streamers.
