The fee per child per week is $35, $5 of which will go directly to the 4-H Center for swimming pool privileges. Some full and partial scholarships are available based on need. For information on these, call the Extention Office at 675-3619, or Amissville in the evening, at 937-4406.
The registration drive begins in earnest June 1, with sign-up booths shceduled for Rappahannock Elementary and Wakefield Schools on that Friday and on Friday, June 8. Transportation services to and from the day camp also are being arranged. Parents will learn more about services during registration.
Officers and organizers for the day camp program are: Chairwoman Pauli Delevitt; vice chairman Hunt Harris, athletic director and guidance counsellor at Wakefield; Secretary Steve Scoggin, pastor of the Washington Baptist Church; Treasurer Florence Vickers, agent at the Rappahannock Extension Office.
Day-camp classes and activities will be instructed and supervised by full and part-time adult staff members. In addition, teen leaders from area schools will assist in all activities.
