Lions dub Auction
The Rappahannock Lions Club will hold their annual auction on Saturday, May 26 beginning at 10 a.m. at the Washington fire hall.

Field Day Scheduled
Field Day is scheduled at Rappahannock County Elementary School for Friday, May 25 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The events will be held on Memorial Day, May 28 in case of rain. Parents are urged to attend.
Culpeper Farmers Market To Open
The Culpeper Farmers Market will open for the 1984 season May 26th from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. It will be located again this year on Route 29 south at the Culpeper Agricultural Enterprise grounds.
There will be fresh produce, baked goods, honey, plants, can goods, crafts and more. The market will open each Saturday from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Mental Health Meeting
The Mental Health Association in Rappahannock County will hold their annual meeting on Wednesday, May 30 at 7:30 p.m. at the Rappahannock Library in Washington.
Rick Sampson from the Rappahannock Area Community Services Board will be the guest speaker. The public is invited.
“Tootsie” To Be Shown
This weekends presentation at the Gay Street Theater in Washington will be “Tootsie” starring Dustin Hoffman. A delightful and thoughtful comedy with a masterful performance by Hoffman, who along with Jessica Lange and the film itself, received an academy nomination.
“Tootsie” will be shown on Saturday and Sunday at 7:30 each evening.
NAACP Branch Meeting
The Rappahannock NAACP Branch will meet on Friday, May 25 at 7:30 p.m. at the Macedonia Baptist Church in Flint Hill. All members and interested persons are urged to attend.
RAAC Showcases Talent
