Independent candidate R. E. “Bob” Frazier used to think there were two major reasons why he was the best choice for a 7th District congressional seat. Now the one-man-campaign artist from Earlysville is sure there are three reasons.

Frazier said during a recent telephone interview the abortion issue and national support for Israel thrust him into the campaign, but he came to realize that he’s “really better qualified” in foreign affairs than his opponents, Democrat Lewis M. Costello of Winchester and Republican D. French Slaughter Jr. of Culpeper.
