Peach Growers9 Conference Advance registration is necessary for the Virginia Peach Growers’ Conference, which will take place at the Ingleside Red Carpet Inn in Staunton. Va. Nov. 29 and 30. Registration fees per person are $25; dinner per person is $12. Dinner only will be served the first evening; the conference adjourns at 11:40 a.m. on the final day. Longwood Gardens Trip Scheduled Fauquier County Parks and Recreation has scheduled a trip by chartered bus to Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania on Saturday, November 10. The bus will leave Fauquier High School at 7:80 a.m. and will return to Fauquier High at approximately 7:30 p.m. Coat of the trip is $17 per person. Virginia Hunter Safety Course Offered Lord Fairfax Community College will sponsor the Virginia Hunter Safety and Conservation Course. This course, designed for those people interested in the out-of-doors hunting, shooting ami firearm safety will cover topics including Safe Hunting Methods, Firearm Safety, Conservation, Bowhunting, Black-powder Hunting, First Aid and Survival Techniques. The instructors for the course are certified by the Virginia Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries. The course will be held at the college on Wednesday, October 31 and Thursday, November 1 from 6:30 until 9:30 p.m. There is no charge for the course.
