• Equal Rights Amendment: “I would vote for the ERA amendment. It’s time has come,” he said.
• Balanced Budget: Costello said he would vote for a balanced budget amendment.
• Social Security: “I believe that this system and not national defense is the ticking economic time bomb,” he said.
