The October meeting was held at “La Collina,”home of Mary Marocchi.
The program was given by Sally Sharp, who gave a well informed lecture and slides of “The Making of a Garden.”
The members brought arrangements to be judged, this months exhibits were a monochromatic, one hue and its tents, tones or shade.
Martha Sutherland won the blue ribbon followed by Dee Hume, second; Lydagene Muth, third and Marjorie Exton with fourth place.
The Horticulture exhibits in the first class were won by Mary Marocchi, blue ribbon; Dot Mank, red ribbon; Dorothy Davis, yellow ribbon and Florence Nordone was awarded a white ribbon.
Dot Mapk won the second class. Third class winners were Florence Russell, Dot Mank, Mary Marocchi and Betty Sims, and were awarded blue, red, yellow and white ribbons, respectively.
Sally Sharp and Edna Metzinger assisted as hostesses.
Florence Nordone, Shenandoah district historian, attended the district meeting at Natural Bridge. Marian White and Breezy Gannon accompanied her.
