To the editor.
The overriding internal problem facing our country today is the reduction of the national debt. Figures just released in Washington indicate that this year’s deficit is the second highest in history. Regardless of whether the problem is viewed as Republican or Democratic, its effects are dramatic. Of the candidates for Congress in the Seventh District, I believe Lewis Costello is much better equipped to represent us in the House of Representatives on this issue.
As a Certified Public Accountant and tax specialist, Mr. Costello has the professional background and sound fiscal judgment which is representative of the conservative views on the national debt prevalent in our region.
