10,496 elderly Virginians have lost Medicaid coverage under the current Administration.

• 1.7 million fewer meals have been served to the Commonwealth’s senior citizens under the federal food commodities program during Reagan’s term.

• In all, 26,786 fewer elderly state residents are participating in the 12 federal programs created to aid the elderly.

These statistics, gathered by the National Council of Senior Citizens, compare the impact on Virginians 65 and older of policies in effect when Reagan took office with the outcome in succeeding years.
