Washington’s Town Council adopted a list of five names as recommendations for the town's planning commission during the council’s meeting on Wednesday, April 10.

Those recommended were Frank Reynolds, Byrd Jones, Randolph Clater, Dan Lewis and Bill Wickens as the joint member from the council. “This is a good balance of new and old, male and female, business and residential, legal and non-legal, and from my point of view it’s as good a list as any and I don’t think it would be enhanced by any more names at this point,” Mayor Peter Kramer said. The five will be contacted for their responses.

The five members of the town’s board of zoning appeals will be appointed by the Circuit Court judge. The council had planned to make recommendations to the judge.
