Jenkins lead off the next inning and was himself burned when his hard shot to second was stabbed by Mason’s second baseman. The grab was unbelievable. The second baseman was as surprised as anyone that he caught it. The Panthers needed a lift but that catch gave them just the opposite-a broken heart.
