Potomac Edison can
let you know through their
THIRD PARTY
NOTIFICATION Unfortunately, there are times when unpaid electric bills can result in disconnection of a customer’s electric service. In such cases. Potomac Edison always sends a “final notice" before service is terminated to give the customer time to contact us to make payment arrangements. Naturally, there could be a reason why a customer may not pay the bill... reasons such as sickness, absence from home, or simply, inability to pay. Because of these and other situations, Potomac Edison is offering a "Third Party Notification" service. This program enables the customer to designate another person whom we can contact before we disconnect electric service for nonpayment of an electric bill. The third party the customer designates could be a friend, relative, doctor, 7 clergyman or even an agency. While the third party is under no obligation to pay the bill, it does provide an opportunity for some action to be taken. Designation of a third party is entirely voluntary on your part. Whether or not ft would serve a useful purpose under your circumstances is a matter which can best be determined by you. If you do wish to designate a third party to receive a duplicate of any possible disconnect notice, please contact the Potomac Edison office serving your location.
