Antique Market Schedules Classes

The Sperryville Antique Market has scheduled several classes for its 1985 season.

Registration is now being held for an Herb class, taught by Paula Klatko and Charlotte Jenkins, April 26; Forestry Basics, taught by Lyt Wood, May 11; and a Basket-weaving class, taught by Janet Kerig, June 1.

Woman’s Club To Meet

The Rappahannock Woman’s Club will meet on Tuesday, April 23 at 8 p.m. at the home of Barbara O’Byrne in Amissville. All members are urged to attend.

Sperryville Ladies Auxiliary Dinner

The benefit dinner of the Sperryville ladies auxiliary will be held Saturday, April 27. The evening begins at 4:30 p.m. with food being served at 5:30 p.m. The price is $6.00 for adults and $3.00 for children. Country fried chicken will be served along with vegetables, hot rolls and butter, dessert, tea and coffee.

Elections were held April 1 with the following results: Cecil Baldwin, president; Carol Foster, vice president; Betty Lou Walter, secretary/treasurer.

Washington Baptist Annual ‘Spring Event’

On Saturday, April 20, as a part of the Fodderstack Race festivities the Washington Baptist Church will be holding its annual Spring Event. The church will be selling plate lunches, hot dogs, baked goods, drinks, plants and trees, and various “treasures” from members garages and storage closets. The event begins at 10 a.m. and will run until 2 p.m. The money raised will be used to support the ministry of the church. “All are encouraged to stop-by, browse, have a cup of coffee or eat lunch with us, and enjoy the people and spring of our county,” said a church spokesperson.

May 4 At Sperryville Fire Hall
