His best solution is to tack bright red surveyor’s tape to the side of the house. Either the color or the fluttering discourages the birds, said O’Meara. At last report, however, not even that technique was working well.
Another victim of the Flicker, Tom Geoghegan of Woodville, has tacked surveyor’s tape to all sides of his house. Said he: “We’ve festooned our little place as a result of O’Meara’s
