Graduation Time Changed
In an effort to try to beat the excessive late afternoon heat build-up in the RCHS gym, RCHS Principal Robert Chappell has announced that this year’s graduation will be held in the momihg instead. The graduation ceremonies will be held in the RCHS gym at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 8.
The Baccalaureate Service will be held in the RCHS gym on Sunday, June 2 at 7:30 p.m.
• Molly Brown’s Tale
On Friday, May 31 and Saturday, June 1, the Rappahannock County High Sc’ ol Drama Department will present “The Unsinkable Molly Brown.” Curtain is 8 p.m. each night in the high school auditorium and tickets may be purchased at the door.
Unsinkable Molly was so named as she took command of an unsteady lifeboat fleeing the doomed S.S. TITANIC and became one of the survivors of the 1912 disaster. Her exploits in saving herself and others were only a part of the saga of one of the Old West’s most colorful characters. Molly’s fabulous life has long been a legend in the mining towns of Colorado.
Writer Richard Morris and composer-lyricist Meredith Wilson provide the audience with a delightful musical comedy about Molly and her zany storybook life. Come join the RCHS players as they provide an evening of delightful entertainment.
