Layton and DeeDee of Charlottesville, James Menefee and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Pullen, Sr. of Flint Hill, Earl Menefee, Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Menefee, Jr. and Theresa of Warrenton, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Fincham and Margaret Ann of Front Royal, Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Fincham and family of Gordonsville, Roger Menefee and Joyce of Washington, Mildred Jenkins of Culpeper, David Foster and Marie Tyler of Sterling Park, Cleveland Menefee and Richard Menefee.

Fifteen members and parents from the Sperryville 4-H Community Club went to the New Market Batttiefield on Saturday. They toured the Hall of Valor as well as the Battlefield. Afterwards they all enjoyed lunch at the Pizza Hut in Luray. Any area youngster between the ages of 9 and 19 are invited to join the club. The next meeting will be on Monday, May 20 at 7 p.m. at the Sperryville fire hall.

The Sperryville Bridge Club met on Friday Evening with Mrs. I.R. Kilby.

Her guests were Mrs. Dale Metzinger, Mrs. Mary Quaintance, Mrs. W.H. Cordle, Mrs. R.E. Thompsen, Mrs. E.A. McNear, Mrs. Jack Brown, Mrs. Ulrich Maeyer and Mrs. C.E. Johnson, Jr.

Prize winner were Mrs. McNear, Mrs. Maeyer, Mrs. Quaintance and Mrs. Metzinger.

Mrs. T.M. Johnston and her sister, Mrs. Harry Willoughby of Unionville were recent luncheon guests of Mrs. Hester Geest of Culpeper at the Boar’s Head Inn in Charlottesville.

Mrs. T.M. Johnston and Mrs, Richard Meade of Charlottesville were guests on Mother’s Day of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Meade, Bethany and Broocks in Charlottesville.

Mrs. Brown Miller spent from Thursday until Monday with her son, Jim Miller at Atlanta, Ga.

Thursday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. I Carlton Atkins were Mrs. Marie Bruce, Mrs. Merle Fox and Mrs. Tom Oliver, all of Luray. Sunday visitors
