Again this year, three of the county’s United Methodist Churches will be observing “Proclaim the Word,” a three-day preaching series preceded by a covered dish supper in the Flint Hill fire hall at 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 19.
The Rev. Marvin Claude Cook, a county native and present pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Culpeper will be the guest speaker. Mr. Cook will be preaching in Sperryville on Monday evening, Willis Chapel Tuesday and Flint Hill Wednesday. The three weekday meetings will begin at 7:30 p.m.
