Bridesmaids were Mrs. Beverly Wharton of Unionville, Mrs. Kathy Carpenter of Gordonsville and Mrs. Judy Raeey of Orange. They were gowned alike in long lavender dresses with matching hats and carried lad - der carnations and baby’s breath.
Cheryl Kirby, the bride's niece, was flower girl, wearing a white dress and hat. She carried a miniature bouquet of pink carnations, white daisies and baby’s breath.
Lee Wharton, the bride's nephew . was ringbearer.
Mr. Hamilton was best man for his son. Ushers were Jeffery and Harvey Hamilton, the groom's brothers, and Steve Wharton, the bride's nephew.
A reception followed in the church social hall. Mrs. Carol Wharton served the wedding cake and Robin Segan and Doris Wharton presided at the punch bowl.
After their honeymoon at Skyland Lodge in the Blue Ridge Mountains Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton are living near Orange.
