Four Rappahannock County 4H’ers
participated in the Northern District 4-H Contests at Madison County High School on the 11th of April. They were awarded awards in their perspective area: Amy Palmer, blue in dress revue; Cil Davis, red in horse and pony; Charla Sisk, red in fruits and vegetables; and Susan Dodson, white in girls’ public speaking.

Jimmy Swindler of Sperryville
demonstrated outstanding academic potential by placing in the top five percent of over a million students tested during 1976 in scholastic aptitude tests. He was one of 49,000 students considered for recognition in the 1978 Merit Program.
