Marshall, who has been in a Richmond hospital for some time, is now a patient in the Culpeper Health Care Center and can be visited by his many friends.

Rev. and Mrs. Charles Clinedinst were in Danville last Tuesday and Wednesday to visit Mrs. Clinedinst’s parents Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Rigney.

The Valley Four Gospel Singers will present a concert at the Nethers Mill Lighthouse Tabernacle this Saturday night. The public is invited.

At Slate Mills Sunday a special service was held with “thoughts of and remembering those men and women who have given their lives for their country and to those who are now living and still serving, for which we continue to give thanks.” Pastor Harold Eaton was in charge of the service.

Marine Chief Warrant Officer James Prudhum has been promoted to his present rank, while serving with the 3rd Force Service Support Group in Okinawa. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Prudhum of the Boston-Castleton route.
