“The odds would be better than that in today’s courts,” Commissioner Fannon added. On his motion, with Mr. Miller’s second, the Commission found the allowance of an animal shelter in an agricultural district to be in substantial accord with the comprehensive plan. David Thornhill cast the single dissenting vote.
In other business, the commissioners agreed to ask attorney Peter Luke to attend their June meeting to advise on the legality of ordinance provisions relating to the subdivision of land contiguous to an existing subdivision.
