at Germanna
Laura Swofford of Rappahannock, a first year nursing student at Germanna Community College, is among 39 students inducted into the college’s chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the national junior college honor society, during honors night ceremonies May 16.
Ms. Swofford also received a certificate of academic achievement, awarded to students achieving at least a 3.5 grade point average.
At the nurse pinning ceremony May 29 she will receive her cap, signifying successful completion of the first year of the nursing program.
