After the opening ceremonies, the day was filled with a variety of games, races, and contests to test the abilities of students and parents alike. Although the Athenians took an, early lead, by the middle of the day the Spartans had closed the gap and for the rest of the afternoon the two teams battled for first place.

From the sidelines teachers and students, parents and little brothers and sisters watched as the competition continued.
