symbol and slogan to demonstrate our commitment to your good health. Our symbol is based on our beautiful location in the Shenandoah Valley and represents the spirit of caring we bring to the residents of FVont Royal and Warren County.

And one of the most important ways to demonstrate our commitment to your good health is by helping hold down hospital costs.
Outpatient surgery can save substantially over the cost of traditional care. Patients check into Warren Memorial in the morning, have surgery, recover, and return home - all in the same day.
A large number of surgeries can be performed safely on an outpatient basis. And many insurance companies now cover 100 percent of the cost of sameday surgery.
Other outpatient services, such as mammography, save patients money by reducing the need for expensive care later.
One in eleven American women will develop breast cancer. Mammography is the most ' • effective means of detecting breast cancer in its earliest and most treatable stages. This important technology at Warren Memorial is helping women protect themselves from this potential killer.
Sharing services with other hospitals also reduces health care costs. Since 1984, Warren Memorial has shared a mobile CT scanner with three other hospitals. This state-of-the-art equipment can eliminate the need for exploratory surgery for many patients, saving them the cost of surgery and hospitalization and the time for recuperation. Sharing this service also saved Warren Memorial the 21 million cost of purchasing the equipment.
