Wakefield School's annual sports banquet was held this week at the Fauquier Springs Country Club to honor the athletes who participated in sports at Wakefield this year. Players’ and coaches’ awards were given in each category: the players voted for the person they viewed as their leader and the coaches voted for the student who gave more than 100 percent at all times.
In addition, two new awards were added this year. The School Sportsmanship award was presented to Larry Tarr of Warrenton who at all times exhibited the qualities and conduct of an exceptional athlete. The Athlete of the Year
