Ms.Larrick, a native of Winches- • ter, is internationally known for her work A Parent’s Guide to Children’s Reading. She has also compiled sev-. eral anthologies of poetry for children, most recently When the Dark ; Comes Dancing. She has lectured ; worldwide at universities, libraries and.schools.

Shenandoah faculty member Karen Huff and teacher Laura Robb - will direct the workshop.

Ms. Huff is the program coordi-; nator for Shenandoah’s elementary education program. She has taught elementary and nursery school children and conducted workshops for college students and parents.

A teacher for 22 years, Laura Robb heads the upper school of the Powhatan School of Boyce. She has taught several courses in children’s literature in England and has conducted literature and writing workshops in area schools.
