Wakefield School held its first field day since 1983 on May 23. In 1984 and 1985, field day was eliminated from the spring calendar because of construction on the gym and work on ^he school’s fields. But this year a tradition much enjoyed by the students was re-established and for the first time, parents and friends were encouraged to join in the festivities.
The ceremonies began with the traditional parade of athletes. Wakefield students were divided into two teams: the Spartans in red and white uniforms and the Athenians dressed all in white. The teams lined up and ! paraded around the new North Field led by team captains, Larry Tarr of
