The Bluemont Concert Series celebrates its 10th anniversary on Saturday, August 23 with the return of the popular Caribbean steel band concert we have presented in the past years, the Pan Masters of Trinidad. The concert will be held on the lawn of the Warren Green Hotel in downtown Warrenton, Va. at 7:30 p.m. Requested donation is $1 per person.

“This is a great way to celebrate our 10th birthday,” said Peter H. Dunning, Executive Director of the Bluemont Concert Series, “and a great party it will be with the return of the wonderful Pan Masters Steel Orchestra and the Caribbean Folk Dancers.”

In the event of bad weather, the concert will be held indoors at the Warrenton Junior High School. Concerts will be held outdoors whenever possible; decision to’’ move inside is made at 5:00 p.m. on the day of the concert; information will broadcast over local radio stations.

The band will perform on a full range of 10 steel pans (drums) from alto to bass accompanied by a hot percussion group of congos and other drums. There are no electric instruments in the band. The Pan Masters Steel Orchestra has per
