When it is time for birth, the Maternal/Child Health unit has modern equipment for the health of mothers and babies and has many features for the comfort of our new mothers and their families.
Many patients choose our birthing room for labor and delivery. This pretty room is decorated with homey features: ruffled curtains, cheerful wallpaper, homelike furniture, indirect lighting, television, stereo, and a reclining chair. This room is specially outfitted for a family-centered birth where parents support each other and experience the birth together.
After delivery, Debbie went to one of our newly decorated patient rooms in the department. Soft wallpaper and carpet create a comfortable atmosphere for new mothers to rest and greet their families and friends.
Before going home. David and Debbie enjoyed a quiet dinner together in the Stork Club. A private dinner of steak and wine gives new parents a special moment together in the midst of a big event.
