and panel trucks — whose gross vehicle weight ratings are 4,500 pounds or less must measure no less than 14 inches and no more than 28 inches above the ground.
The front bumper height of trucks whose gross vehicle weight ratings are 4,501 pounds to 7,500 pounds must be no less than 14 inches and no more than 29 inches, and their rear bumper height no less than 14 inches and no more than 30 inches.
The front bumper height of trucks whose gross vehicle ratings are 7,501 pounds to 10,000 pounds must be no less than 14 inches and ilo more than 30 inches, and their rear bumper height no less than 14 inches and no more than 31 inches.
Persons in violation of these regulations are subject to being charged with a traffic infraction punishable by a fine of not more than $100.
State Police and the Department of Motor Vehicles plan to distribute notices regarding these regulations at various locations and also to place posters where they can be readily seen by motorists.
